Where do you live?
Sheffield, a large city in northern England
Is growing Conophytums your main occupation?
I am a retired Electrician. I grow and sell Conophytum and Adromischus, mainly as a hobby and pastime and as a service to other enthusiasts.
Could I visit your nursery?
I don't encourage visitors as I have limited space and do not have plants in pots for sale. I specialise in mail order only.
Do you send outside Europe?
Yes, I will send plants anywhere. I cannot supply any papers or certificates, so if you are outside the EU, you must accept the risk and loss if any plants are confiscated by your Customs or do not arrive.
Can I have TRACKING?
I do not recommend it as I believe it draws attention to the value of the parcel and is more likely to be stolen. If you insist on tracking there is an extra cost but I still cannot make any claim for lost orders. There is too much time and paperwork involved in claiming for lost parcels.
Is there a minimum order?
Yes. This is explained in terms & conditions
How do I use PayPal?
They make it very easy. Log on to www.PayPal.com and follow their instructions. You do not need to join or register to pay. It is safe and easy to use.
Which Email address do I use to pay by PayPal?
Use either chrisolum@sky.com or CR@conophytum.com
How long will the plants take to arrive?
I try to attend to orders within a few days, but early in the season it may be a few weeks as I receive many orders and work through them as they arrive. I always email to confirm an order is in the mail, but it is totally dependant on the postal system.
How old and what size are your plants?
This is explained under 'Cultural Notes' in terms & conditions
How can I take care of them?
I suggest you reading Dr Terry Smale's growing guide. You can download it in word format by clicking here or view it in HTML format
Do you sell seeds?
No. All the seed I produce is for my own use and any surplus I donate to the Mesemb Study Group for their annual (January) seed sales list.
Do you sell books?
No. I suggest you look at Amazon, Ebay and Keith Larkin at www.keithscactusbooks.co.uk who often has used copies of the Conophytum and Adromischus books. |
